In our first week of games, the Varsity and Junior Varsity both are 2-0. Behind the solid pitching of Tim Mahany and Ptah Asabi, the Varsity beat St Joseph’s of Alameda 1-0 in 9 innings on a walk-off squeeze bunt by Ruben Ceja in the opener. On Friday the team beat Mission San Jose 3-1. Returning “HAAL Pitcher of the Year” Kevin Nava threw 6 innings of 2 hit ball to earn the victory.
The Junior Varsity beat St Joseph’s 11-5 and beat Mission San Jose 6-5 in a thriller. Jaron Omololu was the hitting star collecting 5 hits for the week
