I would like to update everyone on recent Pirate Baseball games and events, and also encourage as many as possible to support our upcoming fundraiser at Tommy T’s Comedy Club.
The Varsity Baseball Team is currently 5-0 in league play and 10-3 overall. We returned from Atwater last week with a 2-2 record in their Easter Tournament. We played very well in 3 of the 4 games. The highlight on the field was a hard fought 10-8 win over a very good Atwater HS team under the lights Wed night. More importantly, it was a great experience for the boys.

Our Alumni Game was played on Sat. March 30 at San Leandro Ballpark. The alumni was well represented by the oldest guy-Dave Murawski ’73 to the youngest guy-Enrique Chabre, class of 2012.

Our fundraiser at Tommy T’s is Friday night, April 19 at 7:30. The headliner is April Macie. Tickets are $20 each, and we get back $15 for each ticket sold. The players are required to sell at least 4 tickets each. I would like to get as many friends and alumni there and try to sell it out. The place holds 300 people. If you are interested, I can get your tickets to you or leave them for you at will call.
IMPORTANT–all checks need to be made out to Tommy T’s, NOT San Leandro HS. You can mail checks to me or pay at the door.
