Gabriella Cantrell – San Leandro, 100 & 200 meters. Jr. – Cantrell dominated both her events at North Coast Section Meet of Champions, winning by .22 in the 100 and .44 in the 200. At the State Championships, she placed third in the finals in both events with time of 11.67 and 23. 79 in the 100 and 200, respectively. Gabriella also ran the anchor leg of the 4 x 100 relay team that placed third in State with a School record of 46.57 and owns the School records in 100, 200.
Nijae Jones – San Leandro, 800 meters, Sr. – The Cal-bound Jones ran an impressive race to place second in the event at the State Championship finals with a personal-best of 2:09.91. Jones also ran the 3rd leg of the 4 x 100 relay team that placed third in State with a School Record of 46.57. She also won the NCS/MOC 800 Title.
