(Walnut, Calif.) – They came from all over California and surrounding states to compete against the best High School, University and Professional Track and Field athletes. Except for the CA State Meet, the Mt. Sac Relays are the center showcase for high school track and field and consistently draws the best in each event. All told, at this years Relays, there were a total of ten (10) nation-leading marks to go along with twenty-four (24) state leaders and 664 EPI Elites (really good times).

San Leandro High School senior Christian Carter showed he belongs with the best. As he’s done all year, Christian battled a 1st place finish in the Invitational 400m. His time of 47.53s gives him the 2nd best time in the State this year and a prestigious win in front of dozens of college coaches.

The truly remarkable thing about Christian is his competitive spirit. The 400 is an all out sprint all the way around the track, and Christian never lets up. His last 100m is as fast as him first 100. He is mentally so strong that it seems he actually wills himself to victory.
