Football – 3 year Varsity Quarterback, 2 League Championships (14-0 HAAL), 2 year All League, All South County, All Bay Area and All Northern California, led State in TD passes (33) 1984.

Baseball – 4 Year Varsity Catcher, 3 league Championships, 2 year All League, Senior year All Bay Area.

Athlete – Chabot College

Drafted by the San Francisco Giants in 1991, Signed as free agent by the Milwaukee Brewers in 1994, played A, AA, AAA from 1991 to 1994

4 HAAL League Championship, 5 NCS appearances, 2 NorCal Playoff Appearances

Conference Champions 2004, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015, California State Playoffs 2014, 2015, Bulldog Bowl Champions 2015, 6 times Conference Coach of the Year, 1 time California State Coach of the Year.

Danny is married to Cheri for 18 years and they have 4 children – two boys and two girls. He is currently teaching and coaching football at Chabot College.

Danny’s most inspirational person are his parents (Dave and Sharon Calcagno) – “They both taught me by example how to work hard and be there for your children. They were and still are a great example me on how to support your family.”
