April 20, 2013. Dublin, CA. San Leandro High Frosh/Soph track squad had a good showing at the Dublin Northern California F/S Championship Invitational. Many personal best, and some school records, were set and all the runners score well.
Leading the pack of school record setters was Anthony Pierce who set a new school record in the 100 meters with 11.37 and tied the 200 meter record held by legendary Andre McBride of 23.17. Devonne Simmons, in only his second race of the year, broke the school record in the 300 IH with a time of 45.18. Josh Limlingan smashed the old 800 record by 3 seconds in the 800 with a time of 2:04.50.
On the girls side, Isabella Johnson set a school record in the 200 with a time of 28.10. Lupita Montoya ran a fine time of 5:42.80 for a school record and the 1600 meter relay team of Angelina Dixon, Wengian Deng, Lupita Mntoya and Issabella Johnson carried the stick to a new school record of 4:26.80.
