The San Leandro Track and Field Team made a name for itself 2012. 
The men’s team qualified both the 4×100 and 4×400 team for the State Finals and Andre McBride finish 2nd in the State in the 100 and 5th in the 200. School records were shattered in the Men’s 100 and 200 by McBride and in the 400 by Christian Carter.
The Women’s team also had some record setters. Najia Jones and Kortni Smyers-Jones both placed in the State meet finals in the 800 and 110 HH respectively and set school records in the process. Both women return this year and we are expecting big things from them.
