Breaking news – San Leandro High’s Christian Carter leads State in All Comers 400m in 49.80 and is 3rd in the 200 in 22.80. Track fans will want to keep an eye on Christian this year.
Other San Leandro High Track and Field athletes making news are Gabrielle Cantrell, a junior, and Kortni Symers-Jones, a senior. In the prestigious University of Washington Indoor Classic last weekend, Gabby placed 2nd over-all in the open division (including Colleges) of the 60M dash with a fine time of 7.55, and 3rd overall in the 200m with a time of 24.77. Kortni, a CA State Finalist last year, placed 5th over-all in the 60M High Hurdles.
