The Varsity Baseball Team won our 5th straight league game Wed night in front of a full house at San Leandro Ball Park. The final score was 2-1 in 9 innings against a very tough, well-coached Arroyo team. Marcus Marquez started the winning rally in the top of the 9th with a 1 out double. After moving to 3rd on a wild pitch, he scored on a hard hit ball to the right side by Manny Ramirez. Kevin Nava was outstanding once again throwing 8 innings of 4 hit, 1 run ball. Ptah Asabi picked up his 2nd save of the year, throwing a 1-2-3 ninth. The game had a playoff feel to it as both teams made play after play in pressure situations. Nobody was better than sophmore shortstop Michael Hidalgo who kept us in the game with his play on defense.
The team is now 5-0 in league play and 8-1 overall.
