Gabriela Cantrell, Star Sprinter for SL Pirates

Gabriella Cantrell is small of stature, but don’t let that fool you. She is a dynamo of kinetic energy, with blazing speed and a smile to match.  All season long Gabby has been performing at an extraordinary level in the short sprints. This weekend she once again showed her brilliance in winning both 100 and 200 at the prestigious Sacramento Meet of Champions. Gabby ran 11.76 in the 100m, a time good enough to rank her 3rd in the State.  Her time in the 200 of 24.17 was just a bit off her season best of 23.97 which places her a solid 2rd in the State.
